Launched in August 2026, CARA Collective is a monthly giving programme, where CARA supporters make a monthly donation to CARA.
Every year, around 2,000 victims and survivors are referred to CARA. As the only organisation providing specialist support for victims and survivors in our area, our work is essential.
Through our specialist counselling, advocacy, group work and emotional support, CARA helps victims and survivors understand their options, manage the impact of trauma, rebuild their confidence and begin to move forward with their lives. As one client told us: "I carried a heavy burden for 24 years and CARA allowed me to get rid of that. I was supported through the whole process. CARA probably saved my life; I came to you at a time when all I wanted to do was die and I left wanting to live."
By joining CARA Collective, you can help provide a reliable source of funding at a time when rising costs and an increasingly challenging funding environment mean that CARA is under growing pressure and maintaining our current levels of support is becoming more and more difficult.
Regular monthly donations provide a dependable source of income that allow us to plan ahead with confidence, sustain existing CARA services, and develop new ways to support victims and survivors. Most importantly, they help ensure that the victims and survivors who need us can continue to access specialist support when they need it most.
As a CARA Collective member, you will:
- Make a monthly donation to CARA. How much you give is entirely your choice, and every donation is valued.
- Be part of a community of CARA supporters collectively providing a dependable source of funding to support CARA’s services and help ensure that victims and survivors can continue to access the support they need.
- Receive regular updates on CARA’s work and the impact of your monthly donation, as well as occasional invitations to CARA events. (You can request not to receive these updates if you do not want us to contact you.)
How to join CARA Collective:
Simply visit our JustGiving page using the link below and follow the instructions to set up your monthly donation. If you are eligible for Gift Aid, Just Giving will claim this on CARA’s behalf - increasing the amount we receive by a further 25%.
