If you are looking for support but cannot use the phone or are not ready to speak to someone, our live chat text service can help.
During live chat opening hours, the chat box will pop up on our website where you can chat, online, with a member of the CARA team for up to 15 minutes.
The service is anonymous, free and confidential.
It is open to people of all genders and ages living in Braintree, Chelmsford, Colchester, Maldon, Tendring and Uttlesford.

Do I have to give my name?
We leave that decision entirely up to you. The CARA team member will provide their name so you know who you are talking to.
How many times can I use Livechat?
You can use Livechat as often as you need, however if you need more time, we can follow up with a call or provide details of other agencies who may be able to help.
