CARA Conference - Sexual Violence and Child Sexual Abuse: Dispelling the Myths
A week to go til the CARA Conference, which sold out within days of its launch
This is the first specialist conference in North and Mid Essex dedicated to dispelling the myths around sexual violence and child sexual abuse. Primarily aimed at frontline professionals, the conference will:
increase understanding of sexual violence and child sexual abuse,
challenge myths and misconceptions,
help professionals to support victims and survivors
The conference will include the following presentations:
-Victim responses to rape: Myths and realities. Zoe Lodrick, Sexualised Trauma Specialist
-Rape Myths in Sexual Violence Trials. Dr Olivia Smith, Senior Lecturer in Criminology, Anglia Ruskin University
-Myths and realities of CSA: A survivor’s perspective. Chris Tuck, CSA Survivor and member of Independent Inquiry into Child Sexual Abuse (IICSA) Survivors Panel.
As well as a range of workshops delivered by CARA's team of specialist staff.
