Don’t underestimate the power of tidying!

 

Tidy out a drawer, cupboard, shed or loft.

 

We all know that feeling of putting off that boring, challenging, overwhelming chore. The problem is that the pressure builds, if left.

 

The stress of knowing it needs doing will not go away, it becomes bigger and out of proportion which weighs us down and causes anxiety, low self-esteem and depression. This is the start of finding some control in our lives and making positive choices and changes.

Organising and throwing away ‘stuff’ has a positive psychological effect, allowing us to feel more in control and less cluttered.

 

The place you have tidied can be revisited and can help to boost self- esteem. When you open that drawer or cupboard or go back into the loft or shed and say “look what I have achieved” “look how beautiful it is” “look how I can now find things”.
